Our four day weekend

I just love bank holiday weekends and who doesn't lets be honest.

A whole 4 days off, we've had a lovely time (although today wasn't so lovely with me nursing the mother of all hangovers, but more on that later.)

It seems like an age ago now when I think back to Friday... my mum, step-dad and brother came up on Thursday evening for the weekend and Friday was spent with my mum. We had lunch with Ava and Nath's parents and spoke about the wedding. Exciting! More on that front soon. We rambled around town and I picked up some bits for my night out on Sunday. I bought a lovely red short-sleeved maxi dress from New Look for £12.99 and a chunky gold necklace and bracelets to dress it up but I don't have a picture of me wearing it! So useless!

The rest of Friday was spent at ours with my mum & brother. I'm so desperate to get Ava out on her trike but there's STILL snow on the ground! Seriously melt already!
On Saturday I saw my mum and stepdad again and I took Ava swimming. She absolutely loves it and we always seem to get comments from other swimmers about how happy she is to be in the water.

Swimming is super tiring don't you know
Our Easter outfits. Me: Jumper-Primark, Jeans-Topshop, Shoes-Nike Blazers. Ava: Dress-Zara Baby, Tights-John Lewis, Shoes-JoJo Maman Bébé

Yesterday, Easter Sunday, was spent at my auntie & uncles. They have a fairly big farm house and we always congregate there for big family gatherings. There were 14 of us and unfortunately Nath had to work at 2.00pm, boo! Ava had SO much chocolate, clothes and other lovely gifts. She is so spoilt. She now has a lovely little collection of gorgeous Summer dresses. All I need now is the sun. Please! I then went out with some friends which I haven't done for a while. Someone (me) thought that shots would be a good idea. It wasn't.

Needless to say I was feeling very sorry for myself today and pretty much spent the whole day in bed. Nath was a star and looked after Ava all day in between checking on me and feeding me hot cross buns. He's going to the races this coming Saturday and then out in Chester, so he was probably setting me an example of the treatment is is expecting to receive.

All in all it's been a lovely bank holiday (bar today!) and I don't want to go back to work. Just one more day off please?

I hope that you've all had a lovely Easter! What did you get up to?

She's so sweet, I love that last picture! Sounds like an ideal bank holiday (minus the hangover!) xo
