I noticed such a change in Ava during June. She is definitely a fully fledged toddler now. No longer a baby (sigh). As you all know we went on holiday towards the end of June and Ava adored swimming. She's always loved water but we literally couldn't get her out!
She's a real character now. If she wants to do something, she'll do it. No is understood but gets ignored. I'm not going to lie it can be frustrating, especially if she is doing something dangerous like going to put something in her mouth or pull something over. My nerves are shot but I have the agility of a fox...
Whilst on holiday it was quite hard for Ava to eat right. I try and feed her as healthily as I can and make her meals from scratch where possible but on holiday it was a challenge. The food in the hotel was brilliant but Ava ended up with pasta most nights although I did try and put veggies from the salad bar onto her plate but she wasn't interested. We're back into the swing of things now though and I hope it lasts.
Her speech has improved and she understands so much. She amazes me, if I ask her to fetch something she does, she'll shake her head if she doesn't want to do something and earlier nodded and said "yeah" if I asked her if she wanted an ice cream.
Over the last couple of days I've been looking at her thinking where has my baby gone. She's growing up so fast! I found myself in the baby aisle in Next yesterday swooning over the newborn babygros!
