Ordinary Moments #2

Excuse the grainy photo, it's an iphone "selfie".

When Ava was born I remember wistfully daydreaming about the days where Ava would come up to me, give me cuddles and kisses and call me "mummy".

She'll be two in March and a couple of months ago started calling me mummy, after her being able to say "daddy" for a while I was thrilled and my heart swelled with pride. Even now my heart melts when she calls me mummy. It's such a special word. The above photo was taken last night and was swiftly posted to Instagram and Facebook. We were both in our onesies about to go on a roadtrip to my mums. We're here for a week as on Wednesday it will be two years since my brother died.

Ava grabbed me round the neck and kept saying "aww", she's so loving and I'm so glad I managed to capture such a special moment although the quality is useless. It's a photo that makes me smile and I know I'll treasure it forever.

I'm linking up with Mummy Daddy Me for the Ordinary Moments.
