My Top 5 Toddler Products

I've been wanting to film this video for a while and had the perfect opportunity today when Ava went down for a nap. These are my favourite toddler products at the moment. Do you have any favourites that you think I should know about? What do you think about the ones I've picked?

Wedding a go-go

2 months, 3 weeks, 4 days, 15 hours and approximately 56 minutes.

That's how long it is until Nath and I finally become husband & wife, after being engaged for 2 years it felt as though we've had all the time in the world to plan for our wedding, but we never could have predicted how quickly it's come around. I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks that this year is flying by at a terrifying pace?!

I knew that from May onwards wedding planning would seriously kick off, and it did. June is even busier, all of our weekends are booked up and that's kind of scary. I've missed this little space of mine, truth is I haven't felt inspired lately and I really haven't had time. Ava doesn't nap anymore so gone are the days when I could settle for an hour with a cup of tea and type and edit to my hearts content. I have also started a YouTube channel where I am vlogging weekly in the run up to my wedding, it's new and so far I'm enjoying it.

I can finally say that the wedding invitations are going out this week! I spent the last 4 days at my mums, putting invitations together and licking envelopes (why does the glue taste so disgusting?!), we shopped for bits for my hen do (31 days), had our make up done at the NARS counter and my little brother tried on some suits. I had three lie ins (!) but really hope that my body hasn't got used to lying in until 9.30am as it'll be in for a shock tomorrow!

Ava has had a wonderful time with her daddy, including a trip to the safari park & the seaside. She is all about daddy at the moment which makes me a bit envious I've got to say, although they do have a lovely relationship. We're heading to Cbeebies land together in the next few weeks which I'm ridiculously excited about!

Wedding wise we still have a few odds and ends to sort but it's, so far, running very smoothly. I'm so excited for these next few months!

My Girl

We were Team Yellow throughout my pregnancy. We wanted that element of surprise and although I was slightly envious of those who found out and who were preparing their nurseries accordingly, the anticipation and excitement that I had bubbling inside was totally worth the wait.

We truly didn't mind what gender the baby was, as it had just been three months since my brother had died, all we cared about was that the baby was healthy. I must admit I was almost 100% sure that the baby was going to be a boy, I don't know why, I just was. So you can imagine my surprise when I saw that it was a little girl. I'll never forget that moment. Pure joy.

Little Ava Elizabeth had arrived and she was about to turn our world upside down. Having a little boy would have been great but being a girly girl myself I find having a little girl is just wonderful. At 26 months old her company is the best (when she's in a good mood). I thought I'd share with you some of the things I love the most about my girl:

I love it when I go to open the fridge and find your random wooden food in there

I love it when you get right in my face, far beyond personal space, to tell me something

I love it when you do your funny little walk when your on a mission, like an old lady power walking

I love it when you're bossy at bed time, forcing my head onto your pillow and stroke my face

I love it when you say "Kiss, cuddle, stroke" and you stroke my hair like a cat

I love how you make me laugh with the funny things you say, like telling everyone I'd lost your library book

I love how independent and determined you are, desperately trying to put your shoes on but putting them on the wrong feet

I love the special bond we have and how excited I get to see you when we've been apart

I love that you enjoy cooking and reading as much as me, hopefully it'll be something we share

I love how you enjoy having your nails painted, a true girly girl

I love how you sometimes still get shy around people and cling to my leg

I love the fact that although you're growing much too quickly you'll always be my little girl

I love you so much my heart could burst

There are so, so many  more but I'll leave you with this short list for now.

Did you know I've recently started a YouTube channel? I've been vlogging weekly, in the run up to my wedding. I'd love you to subscribe.

A new challenge

I have a lot of things going on at the moment. Wedding prep has cranked up a notch which I fully expected in May. My thoughts and focus have been elsewhere but I've thought about this little space a lot lately and have felt bad for not writing anything.

Truth is I'm all out of inspiration at the moment, we haven't done anything worth blogging about and I seriously need to dust off my DSLR and take some decent pictures. It's on my to-do list I promise.

If you've read my previous posts you'll know that I've been wanting to set up a YouTube channel for a while, something that I did a couple of weeks ago, I posted my first weekly vlog last week and plan on doing them until my wedding in August. I also want to do some general videos such as a "what's in my makeup bag" video and I'm also planning on doing a wedding series.

It's given me a new challenge and I would love it if you would subscribe to my channel. I know I say this all the time when I go AWOL on my blog but I really need to pull my finger out and write some proper posts instead of a stack load of excuses!

I'll be back very soon!
