New beginnings

I always find the end of a new year strange, we look back on 365 days, that just seem to go by faster as I get older, and look at what we wish we'd done differently or other things that we wish we could do again. Then we pledge to make big changes to our lifes at the beginning of every year and more often than not these resolutions get forgotten about come mid February.

When I look back on 2014 I realise that it exceeded all of my expectations. I knew it was going to be an exciting year with us getting married but I never expected to want to re-live it all. Yes, even the terrible two tantrums, okay maybe not but it has been wonderful.

Ava turned 2 and became a cheeky little monkey but I feel like my confidence as a mother has grown, we enjoyed many days out together which only increased our bond. I had an amazing hen do in Barcelona with some of my best friends, had a beautiful wedding in August and a wonderful honeymoon in Crete and Santorini. I coudn't be happier. After reading the lovely Charl's latest blog post, I feel so incredibly lucky and grateful to be surrounded by some amazing people.

I'm so excited for 2015 but I think 2014 will be hard to beat. I can't wait to get back into blogging properly after such a hectic year and we have so many exciting things coming up that I can't wait to share with you.

Here are some photos from Christmas. Happy New Year everyone. I hope it's a good one. Please excuse the quality of some of these, they were mostly taken on my iPhone
