Unfortunately this weekend isn't a bank holiday one for me, as I work in a school and the students aren't off, it's business as usual.
However, this weekend was still a social one. Ava attended her second baby ballet class and it was pretty much a case of "all the gear, no idea".
I'm hoping that next week is more successful. I'm not sure if it's because I was with her but she didn't want to take part, just wanted me to pick her up. I suppose it was only the second time she had been and she was probably feeling shy, fingers crossed for a more successful class next week.
Nathan works on Saturdays and usually plays football in the afternoon so these days are reserved for Ava and I which is lovely. After ballet we have started to go for breakfast which will hopefully turn in to our little tradition. The weather was awful so we quickly ducked into one of our local coffee shops for tea & toast. Or in Ava's case a chocolate babychino that ended up all over her face!
We spent the afternoon at our friend's bar/restaurant which was due to host a garden party. Unfortunately due to the terrible weather the party moved indoors but we still had a great time, Ava was so well behaved and we enjoyed gorgeous bbq food, cocktails and the best salted caramel ice cream I've ever had!
Sunday mornings are for cuddling (and drawing with daddy!)
You can't beat cooking with fresh farm eggs!
Nath was out for his friends birthday yesterday afternoon and evening so we had a girly afternoon together. First stop was my grandparents house.
Ava's obsessed with my poor nan's makeup bag and always meddles with her face creams when we pop round.
Ava and I then set off to the cinema together, I'm not sure why I did this as she is yet to sit through a full film but every time I think it will be different. Alas not! I saw Cinderella with my friends a couple of weeks ago and loved it but we only managed half of the film before Ava was asking to leave. Pretty disappointing.
The Pizza Express pizza did make up for it, although we had to have some of it boxed up...
......which was then eaten in bed in front of a film.
We're hoping to be in our new house in a few weeks and I'm so excited for that first weekend. We have a few exciting weekends coming up and I'd love you to share your weekends with Charl and I. Join the linky below and let us know what you've been up to.
