The weekend #7- Hot chocolates, mummy pampering and parties

Saturday

We woke to gloomy skies on Saturday as Ava and I hotfooted it to ballet in the drizzle. Ava is growing in confidence in the classes, which is so great to see. Most of the mum's leave the other little girls, but I haven't so far. For the last 15mins I snuck out to buy Ava's little friend a birthday present. I don't think she even noticed that I was gone.

After ballet we met my dad for some hot chocolates and scones. As usual I had "eyes bigger than my belly" syndrome and chose a huge malteaser hot chocolate which left me feeling a bit sick afterwards, I'll never learn!

I wanted a relatively quiet Saturday so we tootled home, I did some house work and Ava played and watched cartoons. Later in the afternoon we decided to make some banana bread which has had top marks from my husband. He's even said it's one of the best things I've even made. It's now Monday morning and it's practically all gone, save for a tiny piece that I'm sure will be eaten when Nath gets
up!

Once Ava was in bed I decided to have a bit of a pamper, something that I try and do once a week. I had a bath, applied my favourite Origins facemask, moisturised, fake tanned and did my nails. I love taking a bit of time out for myself.

Nath then came home with a Prezzo takeaway which was lovely!

Sunday

On Sunday Nath was up very early to go to motocross with his friend so we pottered around in the morning and Ava had a princesses and pirates birthday party which she loved. I'm surprised that she kept the flower crown on, she hates anything in her hair.

She napped on the way home (result!) and I've just discovered that Gossip Girl is on Netflix. I used to be obsessed with Gossip Girl but have never watched the full series. It should keep me occupied for a while.

Ava was kindly sent some seeds and a little gardening set from Elm House Tree Services for one of their blogger competitions so we went up to my grandparents to plant the seeds.

We then met Nath and some of our friends in Nandos and Ava refused to go to bed until gone 9pm. The perils of an afternoon nap!

We are now getting ready for our anticipated trip to Bluestone in Pembrokeshire, I'm hoping that it will give me some much needed blogspiration.

Since moving into our new home all inspiration seems to have left me and I feel so frustrated. I really need to get my butt into gear when we're home!

What have you been up to?
