The first trimester couldn't have come at a better time, I've been feeling truly rotten this time around and working term-time only has meant that I've been off for 8 weeks and have been able to take life at a slower pace.
I honestly don't remember feeling this ill with Ava, I had morning sickness but this time it's been something else. Some days the sickness has been crippling and I've also had terrible pregnancy acne and the exhaustion has been like nothing I've experienced before. It's true what they say, no two pregnancies are the same! I'm hoping that as I come into my second trimester these symptoms will start to ease up a bit. I'm back to work in two weeks and I'm genuinely a bit worried about how I'll cope!
I was anxious about telling Ava but I needn't have worried, she's beyond excited about being a big sister and is already saying how much she loves the baby!
Nath and I have been joking (kind of) that we've forgotten everything about babies and should see if we can take a crash course! We're currently talking about the baby's room and all the bits and bobs we'd like to get for it. We're a little more savvy the second time around and did keep a fair few of Ava's baby things. I'm looking forward to decorating baby's nursery although like last time we're going to be team yellow until the end.
I've decided to come back to blogging as a way to journal my pregnancy, and I've missed the writing aspect. So expect some posts, probably sporadic, as I get back into things.
